Antipatris

Antipatris, eine von Herodes d. Gr. an Stelle der Dorfes Kapharsaba erbaute und seinem Vater zu Ehren benannte Stadt in Palästina, in der Ebene Saron an der Straße von Jerusalem nach Cäsarea gelegen, noch im 8. Jahrh. genannt. Wahrscheinlich lag es beim heutigen Râs el Ain.
