Makanna, Ort am oberen Senegal (Westafrika), im Gebiete des Negerstaates Galam. Hier an der Stelle des ehemaligen Forts St. Joseph, welches zerstört wurde, das Handelscomtoir St. Charles, 1825 von den Franzosen gegründet.
