Apaturĭa

Apaturĭa (gr. Ant.), ein den Ionern gemeinschaftliches, bes. athenisches Volksfest im 3. Monate Pyanepsion (od. bei den Kyzikenern u. Teniern Apaturĭon), zu Ehren des Zeus u. des Bakchos 3 Tage gefeiert. Der erste Tag des Festes hieß Dorpia, weil man sich an demselben zu Abendschmäußen vereinigte; der 2. Anarrhysis, an welchem dem Zeus Phratrios u. der Athene Apaturĭa geopfert wurde; der 3. Kureotis, wo die gereiften Jünglinge sich zum 1. Mal das Barthaar scheeren ließen u. den Zünften eingereihet u. wobei für jeden ein Schaf geopfert wurde; der Tag der Nachfeier Epibdä. In Samos verband man damit die Feier der Demeter Kurotrophos (der Knabennährerin).
