Attalea (A. H. et B.), Palmengattung (Palmae-Cocoineae inermes), 3. Ordnung 13. Klasse (9. Ordnung 21. Klasse) L., Arten: A. compta, excelsa, funifera (von welcher die Piassava u. die gewöhnlichen Kokusnüsse zu Drechslerarbeiten kommen), humilis, Rossii, speciosa u. spectabilis, alle in Brasilien zu Hause, bei uns im Warmhause.
