Bulti (Bultistan [spr. Balti, Baltistan], auch Kleintibet od. Iskardoh genannt), ein kleiner, noch wenig erforschter Staat, im N. durch den Mustagh u. das Kurakorumgebirge von der Chinesischen Tartarei, im S. durch den Himalaya vom Thale von Kaschmir geschieden, im O. von Ladakh (Mitteltibet), im W. von den kleinen Gebirgsstaaten Ghilgit, Yessen u. Astor begrenzt, vom Sing-kha-bab, dem oberen Indus, der hier den Schajuk aufnimmt, durchströmt. Hauptstadt ist Iskardo. Der letzte selbständige Fürst war Ahmed-Schah; um 1846 wurde das Land von Ghulab-Singh unterworfen.
