Carbanīl

Carbanīl (Anilocyansäure, Anilocarbamid, Cyansaures Phenyloxyd), C14H5NO2, Product der trockenen Destillation des Melanoximids u. des Oxanilids für sich od. mit wasserfreier Phosphorsäure. Es bildet eine wasserhelle, leicht bewegliche Flüssigkeit von intensivem Geruch u. starker Lichtbrechung. Die Alkohole gehen mit dem C. krystallinische ätherartige Verbindungen ein, welche in ihrer Zusammensetzung mit den Anthranilsäureäthern übereinstimmen.
