Henōsis (gr.), 1) Vereinigung; daher Henotik, die Kunst, streitende Parteien, besonders über Glaubenssachen, zu vereinigen. Henotĭkon, Vereinigungsedict des Kaisers Zeno I. von 482 in den Streitigkeiten über die menschliche u. göttliche Natur in Christo (s.u. Monophysiten); dann überhaupt Schrift, worin eine Vereinigung streitender Parteien zu bewirken gesucht wird. 2) (Med.), so v.w. Symblepharon.
