Melocactus, Pflanzengattung aus der Familie Cacteae-Melocactoideae, 12. Kl. 1. Ordn. L.; Arten: M. communis, M. violaceus, M. depressus, M. Besleri, M. rubens, M. microcephalus, M. caesius, M. griseus u.a., in Südamerika, häufig in Gewächshäusern cultivirt.
