Volborth, Johann Karl, geb. 1748 in Nordhausen, wurde 1777 Repetent an der theologischen Facultät u. 1778 Prediger an der Nikolaskirche zu Göttingen, 1785 Professor der Theologie u. 1792 Superintendent zu Giftkorn, wo er 1796 starb.
