Die BI Norwegian School of Management (Handelshøyskolen BI) ist eine Business School mit Universitätsrang in Norwegen. Sie ist die größte Wirtschaftshochschule Norwegens und die zweitgrößte Europas. Die BI hat 13 Standorte; Hauptstandort ist Oslo.

Geschichte

Die BI wurde 1943 von Finn Øien gegründet. Ihr Rektor ist Professor Tom Colbjørnsen (Stand 6/2008). Frühere Rektoren waren unter anderen Jørgen Randers, Co-Autor von Die Grenzen des Wachstums, und Peter Lorange, später Rektor des International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, sowie Leif Frode Onarheim, ein Mitglied des norwegischen Parlamentes.

2007 hatte die Hochschule 18.500 Studenten, davon waren 10.000 Vollzeitstudenten.

Studienprogramme

An der Handelshøyskolen BI werden 17 verschiedene Bachelorstudiengänge und 18 weiterführende Masterstudiengänge, sowie fünf MBA-Programme und ein Doktorantenprogramm angeboten.
