Ashé

Ashé (Àşe, Aché) ist in der Religion der Yoruba die universelle Lebensenergie, die im Kosmos der Yoruba im unsichtbaren Bereich ( òrun ) und sichtbaren Bereich (aye) wirkt [1]. Sie ist nicht nur in allen Lebewesen und Gegenständen, sondern auch in allen immateriellen Geistwesen (Orishas und Ahnen) und Artefakten (Gebete, Lieder, Gesten).

Sie nimmt im Laufe der Zeit trotz eines „guten Charakters“ (ìwa pèlé) ab und muss durch religiöse Rituale, (auch Tieropfer) aufgeladen werden.
