PDF/H

PDF/H (PDF for Health Care Industry) ist die Abkürzung für den Einsatz von PDF im Gesundheitswesen – insbesondere in der Bild gebenden Diagnostik und für die Speicherung von Patientendaten und medizinischen Befunden. PDF/H soll zum Standard und zur internationalen Norm werden als Austauschformat für Bilddaten im Gesundheitswesen – auf der Basis des Portable Document Formats PDF.

Das Projekt der AIIM International (Association for Information and Image Management) beschreibt die Eigenschaften und die Benutzung des Dateiformats PDF für Erfassung, Konservierung, Austausch und Schutz von Informationen im Gesundheitswesen.

Die Empfehlungen und Beschreibungen der AIIM werden ergänzt um einen Leitfaden für den Einsatz in der Praxis (Best Practice Guide). Dieser soll Anbietern von Systemen für das Gesundheitswesen Richtlinien und Anregungen geben – zum Beispiel für die Entwicklung sicherer Systeme für Speicherung, Austausch, Versand, Archivierung und der Anzeige von Patientendaten.

Wer treibt die PDF/H-Entwicklung voran?

Das Komitee der AIIM erwartet die Veröffentlichung eines genehmigten Entwurfs zu PDF/H etwa Mitte bis Ende 2007.

PDF/H wurde entwickelt mit Unterstützung des Komitees für Gesundheitsinformatik der ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials).
