Die Pacific Forum Line (PFL) ist eine Schifffahrtsallianz des Pacific Islands Forum mit Sitz in Auckland (Neuseeland).

Unternehmen

Pacific Forum Line (PFL) wurde 1977 gegründet und nahm ihren Betrieb 1978 auf. Die Schifffahrtsallianz dient zur Sicherung der maritimen Handelsdienste im pazifischen Raum sowie zur Förderung der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung im Pazifik. Ihre Einrichtung wurde nötig, da mit der immer weiteren Verbreitung von Containern immer weniger Frachtschiffe die kleinen Staaten des Südpazifiks anliefen. Das Unternehmen dient also nicht nur der Erwirtschaftung von Gewinnen, sondern auch der regionalen Entwicklung[1].

Die Regierung von Neuseeland hält 23,2 Prozent der Aktien der in Samoa registrieren Gesellschaft, aber nur 8,3 Prozent der Stimmanteile, da die Stimmen gleichmäßig unter den 12 Mitgliedsstaaten des South Pacific Forum verteilt sind.[2]Stand 2005

"Das Unternehmen hat 157 Angestellte (Stand 1. Mai 2005). Die Bilanzsumme zum 31. Dezember 2003 betrug 19,6 Millionen NZD, der Gewinn nach Steuern für diesen Zeitraum betrug 2,8 Millionen NZD".[3]Stand 2005

Management

Geleitet wir PFL von dem Däne Henning HANSEN als CEO, CFO ist Julien ARNOUX und John PEARSON als COMMERCIAL MANAGER [4]

Schiffe

Es werden zur Zeit 19 (Stand 2011) Schiffe auf verschiedenen Routen von der PFL betrieben.
