Die Partners Group Holding AG mit Sitz in Baar ZG ist eine auf alternative Anlagen spezialisierte, international tätige Schweizer Vermögensverwaltungsgesellschaft. Das Unternehmen beschäftigt über 500 Mitarbeiter mit einem verwalteten Vermögen von über EUR 20 Mrd. in den Bereichen Private Equity, Private Debt, Private Real Estate und Private Infrastructure. Die Partners Group Holding ist an der Schweizer Börse SIX Swiss Exchange kotiert.

Geschichte

Partners Group wurde im Januar 1996 gegründet. In den Jahren 1999 und 2000 hat das Unternehmen in Guernsey und New York ihre ersten Niederlassungen im Ausland eröffnet, denen 2004 die Niederlassungen in London und Singapur, 2007 in San Francisco und Tokio, 2008 in Sydney, Luxemburg und Peking, 2010 in Dubai, Seoul und München und im Jahr 2011 São Paulo und Paris folgten.

Mit der Übernahme der Swiss Alternative Investment Strategies Group AG, einem von Mitgliedern des ehemaligen Hedge-Fonds-Teams der Credit Suisse Asset Management in Zürich gegründeten Hedge-Fonds-Unternehmen, erfolgte 2001 der Einstieg ins Hedge Fonds-Geschäft.

Im März 2006 ging das Unternehmen durch einen IPO an die Börse.

2007 gab Partners Group die Übernahme der diskretionären Vermögensverwaltung der im Bereich Private Real Estate Asset Management tätigen US amerikanischen Pension Consulting Alliance, Inc. (PCA) bekannt.

Im Jahre 2007 wurde das Hedge Fonds-Geschäft durch die strategischen Ausrichtung auf die ausschliessliche Bedienung von Privatmarktsegmenten heruntergefahren. Anfangs 2010 wurde die Managed-Account-Plattform von Partners Group and Sciens Capital Management verkauft.
