Prince Olav Harbour ist der Name einer verlassenen Walfangbasis, die von 1917 bis 1934 betrieben wurde, und eines kleinen Hafens im südwestlichen Teil der Cook Bay, dessen Eingang sich zwischen dem Point Abrahamsen und dem Sheep Point an der Nordküste Südgeorgiens befindet. Der Name ist seit 1912 in Gebrauch, wurde vermutlich von norwegischen Walfängern geschaffen und bezieht sich auf Kronprinz Olav von Norwegen.

Geschichte

Die Brutus wurde im oben genannten Hafen kontrolliert auf Grund gesetzt, um als Bekohlungsstation zu dienen. Das Schiff war 1883 in Glasgow gebaut worden und wog 1700 Tonnen. Ursprünglich bekannt als Sierra Pedrosa wurde sie von Kapstadt aus hergeschleppt. Brutus Island in der Bucht ist zu seinen Ehren benannt.
