Recruit

Recruit (jap. リクルート rikuruto) ist eine japanische Immobilien- und Personalfirma, die durch den Recruit-Skandal Anfang der 1990er-Jahre auch außerhalb Japans bekannt wurde.

„Recruit“ ist englisch und bedeutet so viel wie „Nachwuchs“ oder „neu einstellen“. Die Firma, die auf Vermittlung von Nachwuchskräften spezialisiert ist, hat ihr Hauptquartier im Tokioter Stadtteil Ginza und war Teil des Daiei keiretsu, ist jetzt aber unabhängig.

Recruit gibt Berufsbewerbern auch Tipps, wie man erfolgreich auszusehen hat. Die Folge ist eine gewisse Uniformität junger männlicher Stellenbewerber, die in Japan zu der Bezeichnung „Recruit-Stil“ geführt hat.
