Redout

Als Redout bzw. Blickröte wird eine Einschränkung des Sehvermögens bezeichnet, die beim Einwirken von negativen g-Kräften auf den Körper auftritt (zum Beispiel beim Fliegen eines Außenloopings). Sie äußert sich in einer Rotfärbung des Blickfelds und wird durch Blut verursacht, das durch die Beschleunigungskräfte in den Kopf und somit in die Netzhaut und Blutgefäße des Auges gepresst wird.

Der Redout ist vergleichbar mit dem bei positiver g-Belastung auftretenden Blackout.
