Roundabout

Das Roundabout ist eine Figur des Lateinamerikanischen Tanzens, die meist in Lateinformationen zum Einsatz kommt. Bevorzugt wird sie in der Samba getanzt.

Bei dieser Figur hält sich das Paar an der gleichen Hand und dreht sich um die Fußspitzen der Dame, während diese in die Hocke geht. Je nach Belieben kann sie ein Bein zu den sich fassenden Händen strecken, den Kopf in den Nacken legen oder den freien Arm nach außen strecken. Weiter sind durch sogenannte Wander-Roundabouts Bildentwicklungen möglich, bei denen sich das sich drehende Paar über die Tanzfläche bewegt und Wischer, bei denen die Dame über den Boden geschleudert wird.
