Die Gardaseeforelle (Salmo trutta carpio) ist endemisch im norditalienischen Gardasee beheimatet. Dieser Fisch ernährt sich ausschließlich von Krustentieren. Man trifft ihn vor allem im Süden des Sees an, wobei er zweimal jährlich in die tiefen nördlichen Regionen des Sees wandert, um abzulaichen. Die Gardaseeforelle kann eine Größe von bis zu 50 cm und ein Gewicht von 1,5 kg erreichen.
