Der Begriff Slingshot (englisch „Steinschleuder“) bezeichnet

  • eine Methode der interplanetaren Raumfahrt, bei der ein Raumflugkörper gezielt dicht an einem Planeten vorbeifliegt und durch dessen Gravitation sowohl die Richtung als auch die Geschwindigkeit ändert, siehe Swing-by
  • eine Variationsmöglichkeit des Bungee-Jumpings (auch Bungee-Kugel genannt), bei der ein offenes Kugelgerüst, das zwischen Masten an vier Sprungseilen aufgehängt ist, nach oben katapultiert wird und wieder zurück schnellt.
  • eine Argumentationsart in der Logik, siehe Slingshot-Argument
  • einen Fahrradhersteller, der eine besondere Art von gefederten Fahrradrahmen baut, die statt des Unterrohrs nur ein Drahtseil haben, siehe Slingshotbikes
  • einen Hersteller von Kitesurfmaterialien, siehe Slingshot Kiteboarding
