Die St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church war eine um 1832 gebaute Kirche in Manhattan, New York City. Sie wurde bei den Terroranschlägen am 11. September 2001 in den USA zerstört. Die Kirche war das einzige vom World Trade Center-Komplex unabhängige Gebäude, das zerstört wurde. Zum Zeitpunkt des Einsturzes befand sich niemand in der Kirche.
Geschichte
In dem 1832 errichteten Gebäude befanden sich ursprünglich Wohnungen sowie eine Gaststätte. 1916 erwarben griechische Einwanderer das Gebäude für $25.000 und bauten es zu einer griechisch-orthodoxen Kirche um. Ab 1922 fanden regelmäßig griechisch-orthodoxe Gottesdienste statt.
