Starting Five (deutsch: Startende Fünf oder Erste Fünf) ist die Bezeichnung für die Startaufstellung in der Sportart Basketball. Sie besteht aus fünf Spielern, üblicherweise aus 2 Guards (Aufbauspielern), 2 Forwards (Flügelspielern) und einem Center, und wird auch 2-1-2 Aufstellung genannt.

Diese Positionen sind von der Kleinsten bis zur Größten durchnummeriert:

1. PG - Point Guard (Aufbauspieler)
2. SG - Shooting Guard (Aufbauspieler)
3. SF - Small Forward (Flügelspieler)
4. PF - Power Forward (Flügelspieler)
5. C - Center

Jedoch sind auch andere Arten von Aufstellungen möglich, und können frei nach dem Ermessen des Trainers variiert werden. Häufig kommen auch alternative Startaufstellungen wie zum Beispiel: 3 Guards, 1 Forward und 1 Center; oder auch 2 Guards, 1 Forward und 2 Center, vor.
