USS Illinois im Baustadium
Die USS Illinois war ein Schlachtschiff der Iowa-Klasse mit der Kennung BB-65, dessen Bau jedoch nie vollendet wurde.
Der Kiel der Illinois wurde am 15. Januar 1945 auf der Philadelphia Naval Shipyard gelegt und der Bau des Schiffes war bis zum 12. August 1945, als der Baustopp verhängt wurde, bis zu einem Fertigungsgrad von 22% fortgeschritten.
Im August 1948 wurde der Rumpf verkauft und anschließend verschrottet.
