whiskey-soda.de ist ein nicht-kommerzielles Online-Magazin über Metal, Punk, Gothic-, Indie- und Alternative-Rock. Dabei legt die Seite ebenfalls eine Gewichtung auf den Nachwuchs, den Underground.

Gegründet 1994 ging das Magazin erstmals am 11. Dezember 1996 online und stellt damit das älteste heute noch existierende deutschsprachige Musik-Online-Magazin seiner Art dar.

Seitdem schreiben die Herausgeber mit Hilfe diverser Redakteure aus Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, England und Schweden aktuell über die Szene. Mit der Unterstützung des jetzigen Chefredakteurs und eines großen Teams von verschiedenen Musikjournalisten liefert whiskey-soda.de den Lesern News, Interviews, Artikel und Rezensionen zu den verschiedenen Genres.

Die Datenbank weist momentan über 16.000 Artikel und Rezensionen auf. Außerdem ist ein Diskussionsforum Teil der Website.

Für die Rezensionen wählen die Redakteure auf einer Redaktionssitzung die verschiedenen Themen aus. In einer Notenskala von 1 - 6 inklusive "+" und "-" werden die Veröffentlichungen der verschiedenen Interpreten bewertet.
