Black Tuesday

Schwarzer Dienstag (engl. "Black Tuesday") bezeichnet den 29. Oktober 1929, fünf Tage nach der US-Börsenkrise am Schwarzen Donnerstag. Durch eine einsetzende Panikreaktion auf den Schwarzen Freitag, der einen Zusammenbruch der Börse signalisierte, versuchten alle Investoren gleichzeitig ihre Aktien zu verkaufen. Dieser Tag und die darauffolgende Woche waren der Beginn der Weltwirtschaftskrise in den USA, der sogenannten Großen Depression. Dadurch wurde weltweit eine schwere Wirtschaftskrise ausgelöst.
