Blocks Extensible Exchange Protocol (BEEP) (auch BXXP) ist ein generisches Netzwerkprotokoll für asynchrone, verbindungsorientierte Anwendungen und wird im RFC 3080 definiert.
BEEP hat im Kern einen Frame-Mechanismus, der gleichzeitig unabhängige Nachrichten zwischen Rechnern austauschen kann. Die Nachrichten liegen im MIME-Format vor (meistens textbasiert oder XML). Die genaue Definition des Nachrichtenformates ist dem Anwendungsentwickler überlassen. Neben den Übertragungsmanagment wird im RFC noch eine mögliche Verschlüsselung mittels TLS spezifiziert.
