Bushing

Die so genannten Doh Doh sind Gummiringe, die sich zwischen den Achsen eines Skateboards befinden. Sie dienen zur Dämpfung der Kraft, die auf die Achse drückt. Der Fahrer kann durch Anziehen oder Lösen der Mittelschraube (King-Pin) den Druck auf die Gummiringe variieren und das Lenkverhalten des Skateboards beeinflussen. Je fester die Schraube angezogen wird, um so härter ist das Lenkverhalten.

Doo Doo ist eigentlich der Name einer Skateboard-Firma die unter dem Namen Shorty’s vertreibt. Die richtige Bezeichnung der oben genannten Teile lautet Gromits/Grommets, Bushings oder zu deutsch Lenkgummis. All diese Begriffe sind aber weitestgehend aus dem Sprachgebrauch der Skateboard-Szene verschwunden und durch Doh Doh ersetzt worden.
