Acoustic ist der Titel eines Kompilationsalbums mit teilweise unveröffentlichten Liedern von John Lennon.

Entstehungsgeschichte

Im November 2004 veröffentlichte EMI ein Album, das dreizehn Demos und drei Liveaufnahmen enthält. Bei allen Titeln steht die akustische Gitarre, von John Lennon gespielt, im musikalischen Vordergrund. Folgende sieben Titel wurden mit dieser CD erstmals veröffentlicht: Well Well Well, God, My Mummy's Dead, Cold Turkey,What You Got, Dear Yoko und Real Love. Die anderen neun Titel erschienen im November 1998 auf dem Vierer CD Album John Lennon Anthology. Der CD liegt ein 20 seitiges Begleitheft bei.

Veröffentlichung

In den USA erreichte das Album Platz 31 der Charts, in Großbritannien und Deutschland konnte es sich nicht platzieren. Eine Veröffentlichung im LP- Format erfolgte nicht. Die CD wurde bisher nicht neu remastert.
