Another Page ist das zweite Album von Christopher Cross, das im Januar 1983 erschien und bedingt den Höhenflug von Cross Karriere fortsetzen konnte.

Geschichte

Nach der Veröffentlichung seines Debütalbums verbuchte Christopher Cross vier Top-40-Hits, darunter auch Sailing mit dem Cross bei den Grammy Awards 1981 in fünf Kategorien gewann; darunter auch Album des Jahres (Album Of The Year), Single des Jahres (Record Of The Year), Song des Jahres (Song Of The Year) und Bester neuer Künstler (Best New Artist). Drei Jahre Später danach nahm Cross 1982 Another Page auf, das laut Allmusic überraschend verstärkt wie sein Vorgänger klingt. Cross versah das Album meist mit sanften Popklängen.

Trotz des Verkaufserfolges, konnte Cross mit den Auskopplungen bedingt an seinen ersten Charterfolgen anknüpfen. Obwohl das Lied All Right der kommerzielle Erfolgsträger des Albums ist (da es auch erstmals in den deutschen Charts war), erreichte er noch einmal mit Think of Laura die Top-ten der Billboard Hot 100, da es auch des Öfteren in der US-Fernsehserie General Hospital zu hören war. Dennoch wurde das Album in den Vereinigten Staaten und Großbritannien mit der Goldenen Schallplatte ausgezeichnet.[1]
