Bisisthal ist eine aus zerstreuten Berggütern bestehende Siedlung und gehört zur Gemeinde Muotathal im Kanton Schwyz, Schweiz. Es ist der Hauptort im Bisistal. Bisisthal hatte 1875 347 Einw. und 1991 nur noch 124.[1] Bisisthal besitzt eine Kapelle im Ortsteil Dürenboden (erbaut 1896) und eine Wallfahrtskapelle in Schwarzenbach (erbaut 1892). Es gibt eine Sägerei. Der Tourismus ist mit der Seilbahn Sali-Glattalp (Bergrestaurant und SAC-Hütte) recht wichtig. 1952-70 erfolgte der Kraftwerkbau auf Veranlassung des Bezirks Schwyz.
