Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India

Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India (CBCNEI) ist eine baptistische Kirche in Indien. Er wurde 1950 gegründet. [1] Der Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India gehört nicht zum Baptistischen Weltbund oder dem Weltrat der Kirchen.[2] Er gehört jedoch zum National Council of Churches in India.[3] Zusätzlich ist er Mitglied der Asia Pacific Baptist Federation.[4] Seine Zentrale ist in Guwahati in Assam.[5] Der Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India hat etwa 600 000 individuelle Mitglieder. [6] Seine Mitglieder sind Arunachal Baptist Church Council, Assam Baptist Convention, Garo Baptist Convention, Karbi Anglong Baptist Convention, Manipur Baptist Convention und Nagaland Baptist Church Council.[7] Die größten davon sind die Nagaland Baptist Church Council und Manipur Baptist Convention.[8] Der CBCNEI hat mehrere 1000 Kirchen. [9] Eine weitere größere baptistische Kirche in Indien ist der Samavesam of Telugu Baptist Churches.
