Giuseppe Agostino (* 25. November 1928 in Reggio Calabria. Italien) ist emeritierter Erzbischof von Cosenza-Bisignano.

Leben

Giuseppe Agostino empfing am 15. Juli 1951 die Priesterweihe. Papst Paul VI. ernannte ihn am 21. Dezember 1973 zum Erzbischof von Santa Severina und Bischof von Crotone.

Der Erzbischof von Reggio Calabria und Bischof von Bova Giovanni Ferro CRS weihte ihn am 11. Februar des nächsten Jahres zum Bischof; Mitkonsekratoren waren Antonio Mauro, Vizepräsident des Sekretariates für die Nichtglaubenden, und Santo Bergamo, Bischof von Oppido Mamertina.

Nach der Vereinigung des Bistums Crotone mit dem Erzbistum Santa Severina wurde er am 30. September 1986 zum Erzbischof dieses neuen Erzbistums ernannt. Am 6. Juni 1998 wurde er zum Erzbischof von Cosenza-Bisignano ernannt. Am 18. Dezember 2004 nahm Johannes Paul II. seinen altersbedingten Rücktritt an.
