Der Heathcote River (Maori: Ōpawaho[1]) verläuft innerhalb der Stadtgrenzen von Christchurch auf der Südinsel von Neuseeland. Er entspringt im Stadtteil Hornby und schlängelt sich um die Basis der Port Hills von Westen nach Südosten.[2], um in einem gemeinsamen Ästuar mit dem Avon River in die Pegasus Bay zu münden
