Jeff Jarvis (* 15. Juli 1954) ist ein US-amerikanischer Journalist und Professor.

Bekannt wurde er der breiten Öffentlichkeit durch Kritik am Kundendienst von Dell und das Buch What would Google do? Er ist Mitbegründer des Magazins Entertainment Weekly und schreibt für People Magazine, New York Daily News, San Francisco Examiner, Chicago Tribune und The Guardian. Er lehrt an der Graduate School of Journalism an der City University of New York.

Zusammenfassung der Buchthesen: Der Autor versteht das Wirtschaften und Handeln von Google Inc. als zukunftweisend und innovativ. Grundidee dieses Buches ist es, anhand von 30 Regeln Strategien für Unternehmen der Zukunft und das unternehmerische Handeln der Zukunft zu entwickeln. Google dient dabei als Vorlage für übertragbare Handlungsweisen unterschiedlicher Unternehmensformen.

Jarvis betreibt einen sozialkritischen Blog unter: www.buzzmachine.com. Eigendarstellung auf seiner Facebook-Seite: "I'm a big-media guy turned blogger and teacher, addicted to starting new things and the internet is made for that."
