Die Transliteration gemäß der National Library at Calcutta (NLAC) ist ein Standard zur Darstellung indischer Alphabete. Er wird in Fach- und Wörterbüchern verwendet. Neben der in der Indologie verwendeten Transliteration nach NLAC, findet man auch die Transliteration nach IAST und die phonetische Darstellung mittels IPA. NLAC unterscheidet sich von IAST hinsichtlicher Verwendung von ē und ō für ए und ओ (e und o werden für die kurzen Vokale verwendet) als auch in der Verwendung von 'ḷ' für den Konsonanten ಳ (in Kannada). Die Symbole ॠ ऌ und ॡ sind nicht enthalten.

NLAC wurde von der indischen Nationalbibliothek in Kolkata als Standard festgeschrieben. Gelegentlich wird NLAC als Library of Congress (LC) Transliteration bezeichnet. NLAC und IAST sind beide Subsets von ISO 15919.
