Paul Le Mat (* 22. September 1945 in Rahway, New Jersey) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler.

Leben

Le Mat wurde 1973 mit einer Rolle in American Graffiti bekannt, für die er den Golden Globe Award als bester Nachwuchsdarsteller erhielt. 1985 gewann er einen weiteren Golden Globe für seine Rolle in dem Fernsehfilm The Burning Bed. Von den 1990er Jahren an spielte er vornehmlich im Charakterfach, oftmals für Horrorfilme der B-Klasse.

Le Mat, ein mehrfach ausgezeichneter Vietnam-Veteran und mehrfacher regionaler Boxmeister,[1] ist verheiratet mit der Film- und Fernsehproduzentin Suzanne de Passe und hat drei Töchter. Er studierte Schauspiel am Mitchell Ryan Actors Studio und dem „Conservatory Theatre“ von San Francisco.[2]
