Der Chilkat River ist ein etwa 80 km langer Fluss in Alaska und British Columbia. Er entspringt am Chilkat-Gletscher auf US-amerikanischem Boden, macht einen 27 km langen Bogen durch Kanada und fließt dann Richtung Süden wieder durch Alaska. Ab Wells, wo der Tsirku River in den Chilkat mündet, verläuft der Haines Highway parallel zum Fluss und begleitet ihn bis zu dessen langgezogenem Delta an der Mündung in das Chilkat Inlet, einem Teil des Lynn Canals.

Am Unterlauf des Chilkat Rivers befindet sich das Schutzgebiet Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve mit der größten Weißkopfseeadler-Population der Erde.

Benannt ist der Fluss nach den Chilkat-Indianern, einer Gruppe der Tlingit.
