Pieces of Ice ist ein Lied von Diana Ross aus dem Jahr 1983, das von Marc Jordan und John Capek geschrieben sowie von Gary Katz produziert wurde. Es erschien auf dem Album Ross.

Geschichte

Der Titel wurde 1983 auf ihrem Album Ross veröffentlicht. Es war ihr einziger Charterfolg aus diesem Album. In den Vereinigten Staaten erreichte das Lied Platz 31. Im Vereinigtem Königreich Platz 46. In Deutschland erreichte das Lied Platz 39.

Der Titel erschien auf keiner von Ross' zahlreichen Kompilationen.

Auf der B-Seite zu Pieces of Ice ist der Titel Still in Love enthalten. Musikalisch ist Pieces of Ice ein R&B und Rocksong. Das Stück hat eine Länge von 7:19 min.

Musikvideo

Für das Musikvideo übernahm Bob Giraldi die Regie, welcher schon mehrere Musikvideos mit Diana Ross gedreht hatte. Im Musikvideo führt Diana Ross das Lied in einem roten Bodysuit vor und zeigt einige Tanzchoreographien. Es war das erste Musikvideo, in dem Ross Choreographien vorführte.
