Der Taipei International Marathon ist ein Marathon, der im Dezember in Taipeh stattfindet. Er wird von der Stadt Taipeh und der Chinese Taipei Road Running Association ausgerichtet. Zum Programm gehören auch ein Halbmarathon und ein 10-km-Lauf.

Geschichte

Marathonläufe mit internationaler Beteiligung wurden diskontinuierlich seit den 1980er Jahren in Taipeh ausgetragen. 2002 entschieden sich die Stadt und die Organisatoren, zwei Marathons im Jahr abzuhalten, den Taipei Expressway Marathon im März und einen Stadtmarathon am Jahresende. Von 2004 bis 2008 war die ING Titelsponsor, 2009 übernahm die Taipei Fubon Bank diese Rolle.
