Christopher Bird

Christopher Bird (* 11. Mai 1928 in Norwood (Massachusetts), USA; † 2. Mai 1996 in Blairsville, Georgia) war ein US-amerikanischer Botaniker und Wissenschaftsjournalist.

Christopher Bird studierte Botanik. Er diente in der US-Armee und wurde schließlich Wissenschaftsjournalist. Schon bald wurde die Welt der ungewöhnlichen wissenschaftlichen Phänomene sein Spezialgebiet. Bird bereiste die ganze Welt und beherrschte viele Sprachen, darunter Russisch, Französisch, Spanisch, Chinesisch, Japanisch, Serbokroatisch. Mehrere Jahre war er Vizepräsident der "Planetary Association for Clean Energy" (PACE).
