Viscount Exmouth, of Canonteign in the County of Devon, ist ein erblicher britischer Adelstitel in der Peerage of the United Kingdom, der von der Familie Pellow geführt wird. Die Familie hat viele berühmte Offiziere der Royal Navy hervorgebracht.

Verleihung

Der Titel wurde im Jahre 1816 für Edward Pellew, 1. Baron Exmouth, geschaffen. Dieser war ein bedeutender Flottenkommandant seiner Zeit und hatte insbesondere die Piraten an der Barbareskenküste erfolgreich bekämpft.

Nachgeordneter Titel

Der erste Viscount war bereits 1814 zum Baron Exmouth, of Canonteign in the County of Devon, erhoben worden. Auch dieser Titel gehört zur Peerage of the United Kingdom.

Weiterer Titel

1796 war der erste Viscount zum Baronet, of Treverry, gemacht worden. Dieser Titel gehört zur Baronetage of Great Britain.
