WRT

WRT steht für Wireless Router.

Mit dem Kürzel "WRT" im Modellnamen bezeichnet die Firma Linksys (ein Tochterunternehmen von Cisco) seine WLAN-Router. Häufig wird der Begriff auch mit quelloffener Firmware-Software in Verbindung gebracht, wodurch Router von beliebigen Herstellern um Zusatzfunktionen erweitert werden können. Mit der Bezeichnung "WAG" werden bei Linksys/Cisco WLAN-Router mit integriertem Modem bezeichnet.
