Die Watan Group ist eine afghanische Unternehmensgruppe, die Telekommunikation-, Logistik- und Sicherheitsdienste anbietet. Sie gehört den Popal-Brüdern, die Cousins des afghanischen Präsidenten Hamid Karzai sind. Sie wurden von den amerikanischen Behörden des Heroinschmuggels verdächtigt.[1]

Es gibt sieben Tochtergesellschaften: AMP Trading, Ehsaan Construction, Navia Design, Sino-Afghan Steel, Watan Telecom, Watan Risk Management and Watan Oil & Gas.

Die Tochter Watan Risk Management begleitet NATO-Nachschublieferungen auf der Route Kabul-Kandahar und hat dabei regelmäßig Tote zu beklagen.[2]
