Der World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) ist ein internationaler Fahrradprotest. Der WNBR findet seit 2001 regelmäßig jedes Jahr im Juni statt. Ausgetragen wird der WNBR in zahlreichen Städten weltweit, wobei der größte „ride“ in London stattfindet, die Gründungsstadt ist Saragossa in Spanien.[1]

Der politische Akzent der Veranstaltung wird durch den Spaßcharakter ergänzt: Es soll das Fahrrad als attraktives städtisches Verkehrsmittel beworben und gefördert werden: "Stop indecent exposure to vehicle emissions!" [2]

Dabei wird Wert auf Freiheit und Optionalität gelegt. Weder das Fahrradfahren ist verbindlich, ebenso sind andere nicht-motorisierte Teilnehmer wie Inliner, Skateboarder, Fußgänger willkommen und natürlich ist Nacktheit für die Teilnahme nicht verbindlich, das Motto lautet "so nackt wie du dich getraust". Die Botschaft liegt darin, sich ohne Stau und frei und uneingeschränkt in sauberer Luft bewegen zu können, ohne die Rechte anderer einzuschränken und so zu einem positiven, urbanen Lebensgefühl beizutragen.[3]
