Acrisol

In der FAO-Bodenklassifikation sind Acrisole (Ac) rotgefärbte, saure, durch Tonverlagerung geprägte Böden der warmen und feuchten Tropen, also tropischen Klimate. Die typische Horizontfolge ist:

  • Ah - humoser Oberboden
  • Al - Tonauswaschungshorizont im Oberboden
  • Bt - Tonanreicherungshorizont im Unterboden
  • Bu - ferralitisierter Unterboden

Acrisole haben eine niedrige Basensättigung < 50 %, und sind damit also sauer, woher sich der Name ableitet (lat. acris sauer). Die Verwitterung ist aber noch nicht so weit fortgeschritten wie bei den Ferralsolen. Deshalb enthalten Acrisole neben Kaolinit (Zweischichttonmineral) auch noch Dreischichttonminerale und sind geringfügig nährstoffreicher. Eine landwirtschaftliche Nutzung ist aber nur eingeschränkt im Wanderfeldbau möglich, da der Nährstoffgehalt rasch abnimmt und das instabile Bodengefüge zur Verschlammung führt.
