Die Action Press Holding AG mit Sitz in Bonn ist ein börsennotierte Dachgesellschaft, die über ihre Tochterunternehmen in der Markt- und Sozialforschung tätig ist (Meinungsforschungsinstitut infas) und überdies eine eigenständige Pressefoto-Agentur betreibt.

Das 1979 vom Frankfurter PR-Berater Moritz Hunzinger gegründete Unternehmen ging am 30. März 1998 unter dem Namen Hunzinger Information AG an die Börse.

Die namensgebende Tochtergesellschaft action press GmbH & Co. KG mit Sitz in Hamburg war 1970 von dem Fotografen Hartmut Doerk und dem Polizeireporter Peter Reinke gegründet worden. Sie wurde am 1. Dezember 1999 von der Hunzinger Information AG übernommen.

Am 31. Dezember 2009 hielt die Effecten-Spiegel AG von Bolko Hoffmann 42,4 % der Anteile an der Aktiengesellschaft.
