Douglas McCarthy

Douglas John McCarthy (* 1. September 1967) ist der Sänger der Band Nitzer Ebb.

Neben der Karriere mit der Band Nitzer Ebb war McCarthys Stimme auf einigen Songs der Band Recoil von Alan Wilder zu hören. Seine Stimme war auch auf Songs der Bands Die Krupps zu hören.

Nach der Trennung von Nitzer Ebb wurde es um McCarthy ruhig. Seit Mitte 2006 ist er wieder mit Nitzer Ebb aktiv.

Fixmer/McCarthy

2002 entstand der Kontakt zu dem Techno-Produzenten Terence Fixmer. Dieser wurde von Mute Records (u.a. Depeche Mode) darum gebeten, Nitzer Ebb zu remixen.

Später entstand das Musikprojekt Fixmer/McCarthy. Aus dieser Kollaboration sind mittlerweile zwei Alben entstanden.
