Dunhuang shiku

Dunhuang-Grotten (chin. 敦煌石窟, Dunhuang shiku, engl. Dunhuang Grottoes) ist eine Sammelbezeichnung für verschiedene buddhistische Höhlentempel im Gebiet von Dunhuang, Provinz Gansu, China. Manchmal werden auch nur die Mogao-Grotten und die Westlichen Tausend-Buddha-Höhlen (Xi Qian Fo dong) darunter verstanden oder auch nur die Mogao-Grotten.

Zu den Dunhuang-Grotten zählen

  • die Mogao-Grotten (莫高窟, Mogao ku, engl. Mogao Grottoes),
  • Xi Qian Fo Dong ("Westliche Tausend-Buddha-Höhlen") (西千佛洞, Xi Qian Fo dong, engl. West Thousand Buddha Caves),
  • die Yulin-Grotten (榆林窟, Yulin ku, engl. Yulin Grottoes),
  • Dong Qian Fo Dong ("Östliche Tausend-Buddha-Höhlen") (东千佛洞, Dong Qian Fo dong, engl. East Thousand Buddha Caves),
  • Xiao Qian Fo Dong ("Kleine Tausend-Buddha-Höhlen von Shuixiakou 水峡口") (水峡口小千佛洞, Shuixiakou Xiao QianFo dong, engl. Small Thousand Buddha Caves at Shuixiakou) - auch Shuixiakou Xiadongzi shiku (水峡口下洞子石窟) genannt,
  • Subei Wugemiao shiku (肃北五个庙石窟),
  • Yigemiao shiku (一个庙石窟),
  • Yumen Changma shiku (玉门昌马石窟).
