Elimelech

Elimelech ist der Mann von dem in dem biblischen Buch Rut die Rede ist. Seine Frau heißt Noomi. Er wanderte nach einer Hungersnot in Betlehem aus in das Land Moab. Dort stirbt er und seine beiden Söhne. Seine Frau Noomi wandert als es in Betlehem wieder Essen gibt als Witwe mit ihren beiden Schwiegertöchter Ruth und Orpa aus in ihr Heimatland. Ruth geht mit ihr und Orpa kehrt wieder um und geht nach Moab zurück.
