Emanuel Nobel

Emanuel Nobel (* 1859; † 1932) war ein schwedisch-russischer Erdölmagnat. Er war der Sohn von Ludvig Nobel, dem Bruder Alfred Nobels.

Er verhandelte im Februar 1898 mit Rudolf Diesel in Berlin über die Lizenzierung von dessen Motor. Am 16. Februar schließlich unterzeichneten die beiden einen Vertrag, der es Nobel ermöglichte, Dieselmotoren für Russland herzustellen und in Russland zu vertreiben. Mit den von Nobel hergestellten Dieselmotoren wurde auch das erste Dieselmotorschiff, die für Nobel gebaute Vandal, ausgestattet.
